This ad is pleasant and fun, as well as getting its message and concept of the car across. Just goes to show that even cheap car ads have all the budget they want to work with.

This commercial shows clichéd metaphors of luxury car commercials that aim to highlight such things as precision, horsepower, and state of the art sound system. The SUV is driven through a barren desert, is serenaded by an orchestra, and awaits its owner outside a mansion. As the spot comes to an end we see something perhaps we don’t expect in a luxury car commercial, the 2009 Kia Borrego - “A new kind of luxury SUV” - at an affordable price.

The song was composed by a company called Amber Music. They compose music specifically for ads. The ad is called ‘Kia Expectations’. The company specialises in licensing their music for ads.

This ad is brilliant. It speaks directly to the emotions. The thundering hoofs of horses representing horsepower, the violin music speaking to good taste in music plus leaving the viewer with the name of the product (in this case the car itself) is a most effective and sadly underutilized concept. How many of the “winning” commercials that get the awards leave many peeps not even remembering what the product was? An all around awesome video ad.

This classy ad does all it purports to do. Kudos.

Classy and relevant. Especially like the horses interjected. The scene from behind the perspective of the birch trees - very effective.

I love this ad. It has clever components yet doesn’t make it difficult for the audience to follow. Beauty and sensibility are what people want in a product (car in this instance). I struggle at work all day, why should I struggle to grasp the concept of some advertisers’ lofty attempt at being mysterious. Music, horses all done beautifully.

Nothing unexpected but very well done including the appropriate music. I love the inclusion of horses in any ad but this is most appropriate in a car ad. I think my husband will be planning to buy one of these.
